Leveraging AI

How are y’all leveraging (or planning to leverage) AI in your sales process?

One of the options I see many sales reps leveraging AI for at the moment is when it comes to drafting messaging via ChatGPT. It’s not necessarily something that delivers “perfect” ready to use messaging, but it can be quite helpful in saving time when drafting emails. I think as ChatPGT and other models evolve the results will get much better and help you save time. Even now as long as you feed relevant information to it, it can help you save a ton of time come up with relevant messaging. Never hurts to ask it for ideas for great subject line or CTAs either.

I used ChatGPT to create a template for organizing notes from Discovery calls, really helped me be more organized and made it easier to look back on previous meetings with prospects in preparation for future conversations

My favourite prompt is just to start with "Imagine you are a “insert role here” and you want to achieve “insert goal/task” , find this super useful for brainstorming in general

I use ChatGPT to draft simple messages in email, I also use it to grasp hard to understand information. Instead of spending tons of time researching the new F250 (for example) I don’t have to painstakingly crawl the web for information and gather it. I also plan to use M365 copilot for administrative work (discovery, content generation) in the next 6 months. I am looking forward to what AI will be able to do for services such as Databook.

I work for Microsoft. We invested $15B in OpenAI/ChatGPT and have already embedded the technology in all of our products. Folks can not only use our Copilots for Word, Excel, etc but also create their own Copilots for other systems and tools (non-MS). The increased efficiency and speed these tools and technologies bring to the average user will have a huge impact on how they work. The challenge is how will they user the extra time they get back and how does it change leadership’s expectations and goal planning? That’s where we have the most interesting conversations. I just off a call with a customer who can’t hire anybody for the next two years, so they need to increase the efficiency of every user to buy back time for expansion of projects and to give them time back to breathe to decrease burnout.

On a personal level, I use Bing Chat to research competitive products, draft emails, research companies, etc. It’s a huge time saver.

Multiple way, i use ChaptGPT, BING and Bard to collect into on accounts and use Bing to draft exec notes. I also use Tactiq for all note taking. It has completely changed my workflow.

Hello @moon.choe,

I think there are a few possible applications for AI in the sales process. But when it comes down to it, the execution the plan is still dependent on the person.

That said, the following applications for AI I would consider are:

1.) understanding a clients propensity to buy

2.) Research on a company (ie revenue break down, etc). Yes Databook provides this data, AI does it a little faster. ;^)

I am not sure how comfortable I am with having Chat GPT write my e-mails since I am targeting Execs and often personalize my notes.

I mostly use ChatGPT when I’m trying to come up with new subject lines or want an alternative way to explain something. It’s also really good for idioms and expressions which relate to what the prospect might be interested in. So if they like golf (something I couldn’t care less about), I can ask ChatGPT for things golfers find interesting or even common phrases used by them. Helps personalize the outreach more without me necessarily having to deeply understand the content.

@Grace Interesting use case for Chat GPT. What question are you asking ChatGPT to get a good list? I asked and received 10 subject lines and would say there are some good suggestions and would say I would use maybe 7 of them.

I think I have a new forum topic…

I have used AI to do some research on my clients . I also have used it to summarize some research

As with others, I use it sometimes to kick start my email outreach idea generation. But recently I’ve found it useful to summarize long documents. For example, I provide it an earning’s call transcript that might take me 20-30 minutes to read and tell it to summarize for me with key findings and that has proved to be very helpful.

I haven’t used it yet but saw on LinkedIn there’s an AI plug-in that you can use when making cold calls that will analyze the call and even suggest prompts/talk tracks in real-time. Curious if anyone has used this tech before and how impactful it is.

Currently using AI to help draft structured emails so I can save time.

the real work begins with the personalization. I don’t rely on AI for that. Too risky for inaccuracies. I go more manual.

The last thing I want is for a faster approach to backfire. If I want to form a relationship with the person on the other end, the personalization and humanity of what I’m writing needs to mostly come from me.

Gen AI, such as ChatGPT is a great tool to research and learn about an industry in preparation for a client meetings, when combined with BingAI the research becomes more real-time
